How to Submit a Request
- Send an email to library@wpu.edu.ph.
- Use a clear subject such as Privacy Rights Request or Research Metadata Correction Request.
- Identify the service or record involved and the action requested. For scholarly metadata, include the WPU record URL, original repository/source, correction or withdrawal sought, and supporting information.
- Provide only the information reasonably needed to locate the record and verify your identity or authority. Do not email passwords or unnecessary government identifiers.
- The Library will acknowledge and route the request to the authorized privacy/DPO contact for assessment.
Records Covered
- Researcher account/profile and private workspace records.
- Messenger sender ID, profile details, messages, and helpdesk records.
- Library requests, feedback, problem reports, and contact records.
- Optional analytics or personalization history linked to you.
- Scholarly metadata identifying an author or contributor, subject to source accuracy, provenance, public-interest, archival, contractual, and legal requirements.
When a Record Must Be Retained
A request may be limited or denied when retention is required by law, an approved records schedule, security or fraud prevention, a pending claim or investigation, contractual obligations, archival/public-interest duties, or another applicable lawful ground. Where possible, WPU may correct, restrict, de-identify, suppress from discovery, or retain only the minimum required record. External source records must also be corrected or withdrawn by the originating repository or publisher.
